jokes we can tell in church
Without missing a beat, one little boy answered, 'Thou shall not kill.'
................................................................................................................
Attending a wedding for the first time, a little girl whispered to her mother, 'Why is the bride dressed in white?''
The mother replied, 'Because white is the color of happiness, and today is the happiest day of her life.'
The child thought about this for a moment then said, 'So why is the groom wearing black?'
..........................................................................................................................................................................
At Sunday School they were teaching how God created everything, including human beings. Little Johnny seemed especially intent when they told him how Eve was created out of one of Adam's ribs.
Later in the week his mother noticed him lying down as though he were ill, and she said, 'Johnny, what is the matter?' Little Johnny responded, 'I have pain in my side. I think I'm going to have a wife.'

Alan Jackson - Where Were You
it's a very meaningful song see the lyrics and u'll understand
Lyrics
Where were you when the world stopped turning on that September day?
Were you in the yard with your wife and children?
Or working on some stage in LA?
Did you stand there in shock at the sight of
That black smoke rising against that blue sky?
Did you shout out in anger
In fear for your neighbor?
Or did you just sit down and cry?
Did you weep for the children
Who lost their dear loved ones
And pray for the ones who don't know?
Did you rejoice for the people who walked from the rubble
And sob for the ones left below?
Did you burst out with pride
For the red white and blue
And the heroes who died just doing what they do?
Did you look up to heaven for some kind of answer
And look at yourself and what really matters
I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith, Hope and Love are some good things He gave us
And the greatest is Love
Where were you when the world stopped turning on that September day?
Teaching a class full of innocent children?
Or driving down some cold interstate?
Did you feel guilty cause you're a survivor?
In a crowded room did you feel alone?
Did you call up your mother and tell her you loved her?
Did you dust off that Bible at home?
Did you open your eyes, hope it never happened?
Close your eyes and not go to sleep?
Did you notice the sunset the first time in ages?
Speak with some stranger on the street?
Did you lay down at night and think of tomorrow?
Go out and buy you a gun?
Did you turn off that violent home movie you're watching
And turn on "I Love Lucy" reruns?
Did you go to a church and hold hands with some strangers?
Stand in line and give your own blood?
Did you just stay home and cling tight to your family?
Thank God you had somebody to love
I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith, Hope and Love are some good things He gave us
And the greatest is Love
I'm just a singer of simple songs
I'm not a real political man
I watch CNN but I'm not sure I can tell you
The difference in Iraq and Iran
But I know Jesus and I talk to God
And I remember this from when I was young
Faith, Hope and Love are some good things He gave us
And the greatest is Love
And the greatest is Love
And the greatest is Love
Where were you when the world stopped turning on that September day?

Ayrton Senna
i also find that great talents die young, Ayrton Senna was a 3 time Formula 1 champion he died in 1994 at the Imola circuit in Italy it was the 3rd race of that season.
i dont really know much about the guy cuz i was only 3 years old when he died, but from what i've found out he was a true legend, a gentleman, and a true sports man. this guy saw a fellow driver crash druing a practice session and he stop his car and ran to his aid. how many drivers today would do that, i know Luis Hamilton surely won't just as he surely wont win this year's F! tittle, i hope, GO MASSA!!!!! GO FERRARI!!!!!! kick luis's ass.........
back to senna he was really conserned about driver safety, i dont really know how to continue his death is a real lost not just to the F1 world but to the entier world.
R.I.P Senna

y must things look so hopeful when in the end it just breaks your heart to know the truth?
y must my heart be broken again and again and again?
am i a bad person?
what is it about me that makes my life suck?
y the hell am i still doing alive?
sometimes just feel like stabbing myself just to end the pain.
y does my family have to be the way it is?
y cant i have a normal family like my friends?
a loving dad a caring mum,
is that too hard to ask for?
what did i do to deserve this?
i know that i've done some bad stuff in my short life,
but were they really that bad to make me deserve such a life?
what do i do now??????????????

The Immortals - The Greatest Artists of All Time: 6) Jimi Hendrix By John Mayer
So often, he's portrayed as a loud, psychedelic rock star lighting his guitar on fire. But when I think of Hendrix, I think of some of the most placid, lovely guitar sounds on songs like "One Rainy Wish," "Little Wing" and "Drifting." "Little Wing" is painfully short and painfully beautiful. It's like your grandfather coming back from the dead and hanging out with you for a minute and a half and then going away. It's perfect, then it's gone.
I think the reason musicians love Hendrix's playing so much is that the language of it was so native to his head and heart. He had a secret relationship with playing the guitar, and though it was incredibly technical and based in theory, it was his theory. And I think that was sacred to him. That's why you almost never read an interview with him explaining his live-gear setup or his favorite scales. That's part of what made his playing so compelling -- all you heard was the color. The math is what's been applied ever since.
I discovered Hendrix by way of Stevie Ray Vaughan. I heard Stevie Ray do "Little Wing," and I started working my way backward to Hendrix. The first Hendrix record I bought was Axis: Bold As Love, because it had "Little Wing" on it. I remember staring at the album cover for hours. Then I remember spending months listening to Electric Ladyland, which was very creepy. There's something dark about it in certain places that maybe Hendrix was too honest to hide.
Hendrix invented a kind of cool. The cool of a big conch-shell belt. The cool of boots that your jeans are tucked into. If Jimi Hendrix is an influence on somebody, you can immediately tell. Give me a guy who's got some kind of weird-ass goatee and an applejack hat, and you just go, "He got to you, didn't he?"
Hendrix has the allure of the tragic figure: We all wish we were genius enough to die before we're twenty-eight. People want to paint him as this lonely, shy figure who managed to let himself open up on the stage and play straight colors through the crowd. There's something heroic about it, but there's nothing human about it. Everybody is so caught up in the otherworldliness of Jimi Hendrix. I prefer to think about his human side. He was a man who had a Social Security number, not an alien. The merchandising companies made the Space God. They put Jimi Hendrix's face on a tie-dyed T-shirt, and somehow that's what he became. But when I listen to Hendrix, I just hear a man, and that's when it's most beautiful -- when you remember that another human being was capable of what he achieved. I will always try to attain that kind of control on the guitar: Hendrix's playing was sloppy, but it was controlled. Who I am as a guitarist is defined by my failure to become Jimi Hendrix. And that's who a lot of people have become. However far you stop on your climb to be like him, that's who you are.

A Red, Red Rose
- O my luve is like a red, red rose
- That's newly sprung in June;
- O my luve's like the melodie
- That's sweetly played in tune.
- As fair art thou, my bonny lass,
- So deep in luve am I;
- And I will luve thee still, my dear,
- Till a' the seas gang dry.
- Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear,
- And the rocks melt wi' the sun;
- I will luve thee still, my dear,
- While the sands o' life shall run.
- And fare thee weel, my only love,
- And fare thee weel, awhile!
- And I will come again, my love
- Tho' it were ten thousand mile.

Stevie Ray Vaughan just a little more about him
in the early 80's i think it was after his first two albums Stevie Ray started to have drugs problems.
with his drug problems made his live concerts boring and he just didn't sound like the Stevie Ray that the world knew and his constant touring around the world led to the break down of his marriage with his wife Lenny. than one day in London or Germany i don't really remember he was spitting out blood and collapsed. after that he decided to enter rehab and get help.
after a few months in rehab he managed to kick the habit and lead a clean life and that struggle with drugs really taught him how to treasure life. after he left rehab his came back better than before. he would also share his experience with drug addicts where ever he was touring in the hopes that they would turn over a new leaf like him.
and for that i find that Stevie Ray is not one of the greatest guitarist but also a kind and loving soul.
R.I.P Stevie we really miss you and your music.
it really brings me to tears when i think that such a great man had to die so early and so young, he was finally clean of drugs and happy with his life. well all i hope that is when i die i'll get to meet Stevie Ray Vaughan at the gate of heaven C:

Stevie Ray Vaughan
i dunno if any of you have heard of Stevie Ray Vaughan but he was a really influential blues-rock guitarist, but unfortunately his passed away on the 27th of August 1990 in a helicopter crash, he was only 36 at the time. It's always a shame when people so talented as Stevie Ray have to die so young he had recorded his 1st album only in 1983. Below are some facts about this guitar legend. Stevie Ray is ranked 7# in Rolling Stone's 100 greatest guitarist of all time list.
neighborhood.
- On August 25 and August 26, 1990, Vaughan and Double Trouble finished the summer portion of the In Step Tour with shows at Alpine Valley Music Theatre, just outside of East Troy, Wisconsin. The show also featured Robert Cray & His Memphis Horns, and Eric Clapton.
The musicians had expected a long bus ride back to Chicago. However, Vaughan was informed by a member of Clapton's crew that three seats were open on one of the helicopters returning to Chicago with Clapton's crew, enough for Vaughan, his brother Jimmie, and Jimmie's wife Connie. It turned out there was only one seat left; Vaughan requested it from his brother, who obliged. At 12:44 a.m. pilot Jeffrey Browne guided the helicopter off the ground. Moments after takeoff the helicopter crashed into a ski slope and all five on board were killed. Although the crash occurred only 0.6 miles from takeoff, it went unnoticed by those at the concert site.
The search for the wreckage began at 5:00 a.m., finally being located two hours later with the help of its locator beacon. The cause of the crash was believed to be pilot error.
Chris Layton and Jimmie Vaughan did not find out about the crash until they returned to their motel in Chicago. The following morning Jimmie Vaughan was called to identify the body of his brother. The coroner's report stated that the cause of death was exsanguinationsevering of the aorta. The severance was caused by high deceleration during crash impact. caused by
- Stevie Ray Vaughan is interred in the Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas, Texas.
Number One (also known as First Wife) was a 1963 Fender Stratocaster used by Texas blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan for most of his career. After purchasing the instrument from Ray Henning's Heart of Texas music shop in Austin, Texas, in 1973, Vaughan made heavy use of the guitar on all five of the studio albums released in his lifetime and in Family Style an album recorded with his brother Jimmie shortly before his death in 1990.
Stevie Ray said that he knew straightaway that there was something special about First Wife. He liked the sunburst finish and the thick, oddly shaped D-neck. Stevie Ray had large hands and the unusually thick neck felt comfortable.
"I didn't even have to play it - I just knew by the way it looked that it would sound great. I was carrying my '63 Strat and asked if [Ray] would like to trade. Thank God he did, and it's been my main axe ever since."
His Lenny guitar was a used 1965 Fender Stratocaster guitar which was given to him by his wife Lenora"Lenny" Vaughan on his 26th birthday. The guitar caught his eye in a local pawnshop but at the time he was not yet famous and he couldn't afford the guitar which cost $350. So on his birth day his wife got a few friends together and they all chipped in $50 to buy the guitar for Stevie. That night while his wife was sleeping Stevie Ray sat up the whole night writing a song for her, and he called the song and the guitar "Lenny" the only uses Lenny to play that song,
and no matter where he goes on tour he always brings his "Number One" and "Lenny" guitars with him.
